walking down the stairs i tried to look around to maybe possibly see him before he had spotted me. but with the screen door.. i couldn't see anything until i stepped down the last step.. and i noticed out of the left side of my peripheral vision there was someone standing there so i stopped to let them pass without having to collide with me. but he didn't move till i looked him in the face. and low and behold. it was him! (i was taken back at how short he was.. for some reason i remembered him being much much taller) he gave me a hug and kissed me on the cheek before we went to get my suitcase and held my hand throughout.. but my palm was so sweaty.. it was embarrassing.
we finally made it to the car.. and from then on it was nervousness to meet his parents.
but surprisingly it wasn't so bad. they were incredibly friendly and welcoming. although it didn't last long because they had to go meet up with family, so he and i decided to go have lunch till they got back.
first date? BURGER EDGE burgers!
not really sure what he has installed for the rest of the trip. but i'm just really glad to be able to spend some time with him in person and not just a picture on the screen or voice through the phone :)
